The first installment in a planned trilogy inspired by Kerala’s folktales, Lokah will begin streaming on JioHotstar from October 31 in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali. The superhero movie, directed by Dominic Arun, has been produced by Dulquer Salmaan under his banner, Wayfarer Films. The makers have officially announced that Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra will begin streaming on JioHotstar from October 31. The platform unveiled a new poster celebrating the film’s record-breaking success and confirmed that it is now the highest-grossing film in Kerala’s history, crossing the Rs 300 crore mark. Taking to social media, Jio Hotstar announced that Lokah will release on its platform from 31 October onwards. The post read "The world of Lokah unfolds exclusively on JioHotstar, streaming from October 31st ." Interestingly, the film will release in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and Marathi. Upon its theatrical release , Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra opened to highly positive reviews and went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, collecting over Rs 300 crore worldwide.
