Bangladesh's experienced campaigner Mahmudullah announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday (March 12). Mahmudullah made the announcement on his social media platforms. Mahmudullah was born on Feb 04, 1986; and as of 2025, He is 39 years old. Mahmudullah is an all-rounder from Mymensingh and bats right handed and bowls off spin. Mahmudullah has played 50 matches to date in his Test career and has scored 2,914 runs, with an average of 33. Mahmudullah is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and captain who played in all formats. He scored the first World Cup hundred for Bangladesh and was the top-scorer in several Bangladesh Premier League seasons. Mahmudullah made his Test debut on 9 July 2009 against the West Indies and made a dream start to his career in whites. He failed with the bat, but produced the best bowling figures for a Bangladeshi on debut.
