Mahmudullah has played 50 matches to date in his Test career and has scored 2,914 runs, with an average of 33. Mahmudullah is a former Bangladeshi cricketer and captain who played in all formats. He scored the first World Cup hundred for Bangladesh and was the top-scorer in several Bangladesh Premier League seasons. Mahmudullah made his Test debut on 9 July 2009 against the West Indies and made a dream start to his career in whites. He failed with the bat, but produced the best bowling figures for a Bangladeshi on debut.
