The 2019 Pulwama attack occurred on 14 February 2019, when a convoy of vehicles carrying Indian security personnel on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethapora in the Pulwama district of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. February 14, 2025, marks the 6th anniversary of the Pulwama Attack , in which 40 CRPF jawans lost their lives while on duty. The incident took place in 2019 when a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of 78 vehicles transporting over 2,500 soldiers along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The Pulwama attack continues to shape India’s policies, particularly in dealing with terrorism. Over the years, the government has strengthened its counterterrorism measures, deployed more forces in high-risk regions like Jammu and Kashmir, and invested in state-of-the-art surveillance technology to prevent future attacks . Pulwama Attack Black Day: On February 14, 2019, a suicide bomber targeted a CRPF convoy in Pulwama , resulting in the tragic loss of 40 brave personnel. In response, the IAF conducted airstrikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Balakot, Pakistan.
