So maybe a fix for some of you. I uninstalled whatsapp and downloaded whatsapp business app and got the code to verify phone number then uninstalled whatsapp business and went back to whatsapp and reinstalled it and got the code and all working. I got the code through sms. This was on android so not tested with iPhone. Hope this is a fix for you all. On my older laptop it loads considerably slower, on my more powerful PC, it's faster. But the newly updated WhatsApp Web got its fair share of issues which render it pretty much unusable a lot of the time - doesn't load messages that were considered "too old" - unable to use broadcast - links previews stopped working - startup time is multiple times longer than previous version (it basically reloads everytime it's started, whereas the previous version was more like picking up where it left ... SOLVED - Unable to scan the Whatsapp web QR code as it has broken and is not scannable as in the below image. Working fine in small size monitor but as I moved to 24 inch QR code is not looking proper. The scanner does not work, whatsapp scanner refuses to read the QR. It does nothing.I've tried 3 different phones and it does't work in any of them [SOLUTION] I solved it by switching off the "Dark Mode" in the browser, looks like "Dark Mode" the QR's white is not really white, and because of that the scanner doesn't pick it up.
