Amarjot Kaur (6 October 1960 – 8 March 1988) was indian singer from Faridkot Punjab . [1] She is best known for her collaborations with her husband the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. Amarjot Kaur was the female vocalist in Amar Singh Chamkila's band and his second wife. She was killed along with Chamkila in 1988 by unknown assailants after a live performance. Amarjot Kaur was a famous Indian singer in the Punjabi music industry. She was popular for her stage performances with Punjabi singer and her husband Amar Singh Chamkila. Her husband and her death remained a mystery since they were assassinated in Mehsampur, district of Jalandhar, Punjab, in 1988. Amarjot Kaur was a highly talented Indian singer from Faridkot, Punjab. She gained recognition for her powerful and soulful voice and is best known for her collaborations with her husband, the legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
