eSHRAM is to create a centralised database of Unorganized Workers which will help to implement the social security services to them and share their information with various stakeholders for delivering the welfare schemes. eShram portal is a Ministry of Labour & Employment initiative to create a database of unorganized workers in India. It uses Aadhaar to seed the database and provides details of workers' name, occupation, address, skill, family and more. The Ministry of Labour & Employment is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India. E-Shram is an initiative by the Government of India to create a centralized database for unorganized workers across the country.
