Introducing GPT-4o and more tools to ChatGPT free users We are launching our newest flagship model and making more capabilities available for free in ChatGPT. GPT -4 is more creative and collaborative than ever before. It can generate, edit, and iterate with users on creative and technical writing tasks, such as composing songs, writing screenplays, or learning a user’s writing style. GPT-4o goes beyond GPT -4 Turbo in terms of both capabilities and performance. As was the case with its GPT -4 predecessors, GPT-4o can be used for text generation use cases, such as summarization and knowledge-based Q&A. GPT-4o (“o” for “omni”) is our versatile, high-intelligence flagship model. It accepts both text and image inputs, and produces text outputs (including Structured Outputs). It is the best model for most tasks, and is our most capable model outside of our o-series models.
