LJ University is a private university established in 1980, offering courses in engineering, management, science and more. It is approved by various regulatory bodies and accredited by NAAC-B++. LJ Institute of Management Studies was established in 2001 by Lok Jagruti Kendra, a charitable trust established in 1980 by visionaries like Prof. B. M. Peerzaada, noted economist, Lord Meghnad Desai from London School of Economics, Prof. Gautam Appa from London School of Economics and Padmavibhushan awardee Shri Girish Patel, Senior Jurist. It now runs more than 24 institutes of higher education The LJ University, was setup in 2019 as an umbrella organization for its 18 constituent institutes offering courses in various disciplines like engineering, management, pharmacy, computer applications, etc. since 1980. LJ created 27 top class institutions, friendly campus. LJ strives to develop students into complete citizens who have subject knowledge and skills and also have the empathy towards various environmental, social, cultural and other issues of society. All programmes approved by AICTE. LJ has over 50000 students, 700 faculties engaged not only in teaching-learning but also in research and extension activities.
