National cyber crime reporting portal: A new Module “Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud

A new Module “Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System” has been developed, connecting 85 Banks/Payment Intermediaries and Wallets etc. with the Cybercrime Backend Portal. This helps citizens to report cyber financial frauds on National Helpline number 1930. 1930 National Helpline number is running in all States/UTs. This portal is an initiative of Government of India to facilitate victims/complainants to report cyber crime complaints online. It provides a user-friendly platform for citizens to report various types of cybercrimes securely and anonymously, with special focus on cyber crimes against women and children. What is the purpose of Cyber Crime portal? This portal is an initiative of Government of India to facilitate victims/complainants to report cyber crime complaints online. At present this portal caters to complaints pertaining to online Child Pornography (CP)-Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or sexually explicit content such as Rape/Gang Rape (CP/RGR) content. The portal also provides an option of reporting an anonymous complaint, where complainants are not required to disclose their identity.
