Omicron symptoms: As infections of the Omicron

As infections of the Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 — the virus that causes COVID-19 — continue to spread around the world, there have been reports that symptoms, in some respects, are different... Omicron and its subvariant, BA.2 tend to cause milder disease than other variants. Particularly in vaccinated people, those symptoms don't last as long. Omicron appears to be more like a cold for some people, with common reported symptoms including a sore throat, runny nose and a headache. As the Omicron variant of COVID-19 sweeps the globe, we look at early data from the ZOE COVID Study to investigate how symptoms differ from Delta.
