PMKVY is a flagship scheme for skill certification, being launched to help Indian youth take up industry-relevant skill training to get better livelihoods. Components of this scheme include Short Term Training, Special Projects and Recognition of Prior Learning.. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY ) is the flagship outcome-based skill training scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this skill certification and reward scheme is to enable and mobilize a large number of Indian youth to take up outcome based skill training and become employable and earn their livelihood. You can find detailed information related to this scheme such as key features, evaluation, training centres, etc. Under PMKVY , placement opportunities have been provided to STT certified candidates, and RPL involves the process of certification of already existing skills. Since the last five years (i.e. 2018-19 to 2022-23), out of 2702 trained candidates under STT, 481 candidates were reported placed in the State of Goa.
