Shaan (translation: Grandeur) is a 1980 Indian Hindi -language action crime film directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by G. P. Sippy under the production banner of Sippy Films with a story written by Salim–Javed after the blockbuster success of Sholay (1975). His grandfather Jahar Mukarjee was a Lyricist, his father Manas Mukherjee was a music director (late), he lost his father at his 13, so Shaan ’s mother started profession as singer to run the whole family. His sister Sagarika was a singer. He has many hits songs and albums in his career. He sung numerous numbers of songs and won many awards like Film fare etc.
