I'm looking for a car -That's easy to drive as a first time driver -Has nice acceleration and superb braking and should be reliable as I intend to keep it for approximately 8-10 years. I'll be using it mostly for commuting to work and highway ... Has anyone faced any issues with the new DSG in VW /Skoda or it's just bad reputation from old engine? I want to purchase Virtus 1.5 GT DSG but unable to pull the trigger because of low city mileage and bad reputation. VW maintenance is high because most parts are imported and taxed heavily. 10-15k/year is correct but if something needs replacement due to an accident or wear and tear, expect to pay ~50% more than domestically manufactured brands. The labour cost is high but manageable.
